India Couture Week 2026 – Expanded Shows

Overview

The 19th India Couture Week opened on 24 July 2026 at Hyderabad’s Taj Falaknuma Palace, marking the first time the event began outside New Delhi. Designer Anamika Khanna presented her “Moonlit Palace” collection, fusing Barmer’s Rajasthani craft with Kolkata’s Kalighat painting motifs and involving women artisans.

The couture week then shifted to New Delhi’s Taj Palace, where the remaining programmes ran through 29 July. On 25 July, Rohit Bal debuted “DASTKAR,” a tribute to long‑time Indian artisans, while Falguni Shane Peacock launched “Le Grand Voyage,” inspired by European and Indian architecture and made in partnership with Kohler.

Further shows on 27 July highlighted emerging talent. Isha Jajodia’s “Roseroom” line emphasized softness and resilience with intricate lace and hand‑worked crystals, while Rimzim Dadu’s “INLAE” collection drew on traditional stone‑setting techniques and Mughal‑inspired inlay work. Arpita Mehta displayed structured sarees, fringe skirts and tailored bombers, incorporating pearls, Swarovski crystals and hand‑moulded clay motifs. The palettes spanned ivory, blush, emerald, teal, ruby and gold.

Across venues, the edition underscored a continued emphasis on heritage craftsmanship blended with contemporary design narratives, reinforcing India Couture Week’s role in promoting Indian couture domestically and internationally.
