Anas launches road safety education project in Agrigento

The “On the Road – 2026 edition” project has launched in Agrigento, an initiative aimed at promoting road safety, legality, and responsible citizenship among young people. Coordinated by the Prefecture of Agrigento and operated by the association Ragazzi On the Road APS, the program involves various institutions, law enforcement, and rescue services.

Participants engage in hands-on educational activities alongside Anas personnel to understand the complexities of road network management. Activities include monitoring the network via the Anas Territorial Operations Room, simulating emergency construction sites, and visiting infrastructure such as the Maddalusa viaduct.

Nicola Montesano, head of the Anas Sicily Territorial Structure, emphasized that the goal is to provide youth with tools to become more conscious and responsible users. By observing emergency interventions and maintenance procedures, participants learn the importance of following rules and the human effort required to protect lives on the road.
