ANCI Marche holds regional assembly in Fano

The ANCI Marche regional assembly, titled “Comuni al Centro: L’Agenda dei Comuni per il Futuro delle Marche,” took place in Fano to address critical issues facing local municipalities. The meeting brought together mayors, local administrators, and institutional representatives to discuss the future of the Marche region.

Key topics included the maintenance of public services despite reduced transfers, the future of internal areas, urban security, and the role of culture in driving local development. Participants also discussed the implementation of the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) and various financing opportunities for local authorities.

Marco Fioravanti, President of ANCI Marche, emphasized that municipalities are the primary point of reference for citizens and must be able to guarantee services while managing increasing administrative and financial responsibilities. Marche Region President Francesco Acquaroli also participated, noting that municipalities are the “beating heart” of the region and that dialogue with mayors is essential to provide concrete solutions to community needs.
