ANCI regional assemblies in Italy

Regional assemblies of the National Association of Italian Municipalities (ANCI) were held in Piedmont and Marche to coordinate local administration and address municipal challenges.

In Piedmont, the 44th Annual Assembly in Alba focused on coordinating municipal councils. Key developments included the completion of a census of Piedmontese Municipal Council Presidents and the launch of a new web section on the ANCI Piemonte portal. The organization plans to establish specialized working groups to address public administration themes and improve synergy between local communities.

In Marche, the regional assembly in Fano, titled ‘Comuni al Centro: L’Agenda dei Comuni per il Futuro delle Marche’, addressed the maintenance of public services amid reduced transfers. Discussions centered on urban security, the future of internal areas, the role of culture in development, and the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). ANCI Marche President Marco Fioravanti and Marche Region President Francesco Acquaroli emphasized the necessity of dialogue to ensure municipalities can manage increasing administrative and financial responsibilities.
