The Ancient Theatre of Stratos is set to reopen to the public following the completion of a restoration and reinforcement project. The inauguration ceremony will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at 19:30, led by Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni.

The project, implemented by the Ephorate of Antiquities of Aetolia-Acarnania and Lefkada, was funded by the Region of Western Greece through the 'Western Greece 2014–2020' Operational Program. It received co-financing from the European Union via the European Regional Development Fund and national resources. The Municipality of Agrinio also contributed by funding the initial study.

Following the ceremony, a musical event will take place featuring Thodoris Voutsikakis, Lina Nikolakopoulou, and the group Alkmene. Admission to the event is free. To facilitate attendance, free bus services will be provided from Patra, Messolonghi, and Agrinio.
