Ancona targets Serie D victory as club eyes return to Serie C

Ancona prepares for a crucial Serie D away match against Angelana following a recent setback against L’Aquila. The club aims to secure a third consecutive away victory to maintain pressure on leaders L’Aquila and Teramo.

Ancona Vice President Vito Giasi expressed the club's ambition to return to Serie C, stating that Serie D is not a suitable level for the team. Giasi noted that while the club has made significant investments and successfully replaced injured players, season ticket sales have been lower than expected. He emphasized the importance of local business support and hopes to win over fans through on-field performance.

In other regional news, league leader Vigor Senigallia is set to face Fossombrone in a local derby, seeking a fifth consecutive win. Other upcoming matches in the division include Recanatese against Lanciano and Montecchio Gallo facing Foligno.
