Andalusia Agriculture and Fishing Awards open for applications

The Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water, and Rural Development of Andalusia has opened the application period for the 20th edition of the Andalusia Agriculture and Fishing Awards. Interested individuals and entities have until October 7 to submit their candidacies.

The awards aim to recognize professional trajectories and activities conducted by citizens, as well as public and private entities, within the agricultural, fishing, water, and rural development sectors. The initiative seeks to highlight contributions that improve the competitiveness of the primary sector and the agrifood industry, while promoting sustainable growth and socio-economic development in the region.

There are eight award categories in this edition, including:

• Sectoral awards for Agriculture and Fishing. • Quality Promotion in agricultural, livestock, or fishing sectors. • Innovative Initiative for technological innovation, digitalization, and research. • Sustainability, focusing on natural resource use, climate change adaptation, and the circular economy. • Communication and the Rural World. • Women's Initiative, highlighting female entrepreneurship and economic diversification. • Efficiency and Water Commitment.
