Andalusia opens application period for university faculty supplements

The Andalusian Ministry of University, Industry, Energy, and Innovation has opened the application period for university teaching and research staff (PDI) to request regional supplements for the year 2026. The deadline for these requests is September 21.

This annual call allows eligible professionals to receive additional economic compensation linked to teaching, research, development, innovation, and management activities. A new feature of this year's process allows applicants to prove they meet the necessary requirements by the end of the application period rather than at the beginning, a measure intended to increase participation.

Recognized supplements can consist of up to five different tranches, each valued at 1,800 euros annually. Once granted, these amounts become a permanent and consolidated part of the employee's salary. This evaluation model follows agreements reached during the General Negotiation Table of Andalusian Universities in June 2024.
