Andalusian Government allocates over €24 million for employment and training programmes in Granada and Cádiz

The regional Government of Andalusia announced new rounds of its Empleo y Formación (Employment and Training) programme, earmarking €13.8 million for Granada and €11 million for Cádiz. In Granada, the funding will support 40 projects that aim to employ and train up to 720 unemployed residents, while in Cádiz 31 projects are slated to benefit around 469 job‑seekers.

The scheme, part of a €108 million budget, requires participating public bodies and non‑profit entities to design year‑long contracts that pay participants a salary from day one. Applications from eligible entities are open until 11 September and will be evaluated competitively. The programme seeks to improve labour‑market insertion by combining professional practice with vocational training.
