Andalusian Health Service to Hold 2027 Macro Recruitment for Over 10,000 Positions
The Junta de Andalucía has announced that the Servicio Andaluz de Salud (SAS) will postpone any new examinations in 2026 and instead organize a single macro‑opposition in 2027. The 2027 call will combine the 10,289 permanent posts already approved in the 2025 public‑employment offer with any vacancies that arise by the end of 2026, resulting in more than 10,000 available positions.
The 2025 macro‑opposition, which offered 21,953 posts, attracted roughly 182,000 applicants and is still being resolved. Union representative Reyes Zabala stressed the priority of finalising that process, saying, "Lo más importante ahora mismo es que se resuelva la convocatoria del año pasado en todas las categorías, porque los profesionales están muy pendientes." Once the 2025 lists are published, the 2027 recruitment will proceed, focusing on categories such as nursing (1,988 posts), auxiliary care technicians (1,075), orderlies, family doctors and administrative staff. The scheme aims to provide stability for current interim staff and streamline future hiring.
