Andalusian Region Allocates €2.48 million to Green Hydrogen Training

The Andalusian Ministry of Employment, Business and Self‑Employment has launched a new 2026 grant program to boost specialized training in the green hydrogen sector. The €2,478,294 allocation targets unemployed individuals from the provinces of Cádiz and Huelva, aiming to create a skilled workforce for hydrogen production, storage, distribution and industrial use. The initiative is part of a 2025‑2027 project that plans to train 8,500 participants through 465 courses, with an estimated €5.5 million overall investment. Up to 30 % of spots may be offered to employed persons if insufficient unemployed applicants are found. Training actions, lasting a maximum of 14 months, will be delivered at authorized centres across Andalusia and financed on a modular basis, covering up to 100 % of costs.

The programme aligns with the regional industrial strategy, collaborating with local industries in Cádiz and Huelva and the Association of Large Industries of the Campo de Gibraltar. It seeks to meet the growing demand for expertise in energy engineering, industrial maintenance, automation, robotics and artificial intelligence, supporting the decarbonisation and competitiveness goals of the Andalusian economy.
