Andhra Pradesh ACB raids TTD Deputy Executive Officer's properties

The Andhra Pradesh Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) conducted raids on Wednesday at multiple locations linked to Mendu Loknatham, the Deputy Executive Officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). The investigation focuses on allegations of possessing assets that significantly exceed his known sources of income.

The ACB registered a disproportionate-assets case against Loknatham following information shared by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) after its probe into the Tirumala laddu ghee adulteration case. Searches were carried out at Loknatham’s residence in Tirupati, his office in Tirumala, a linked guest house, and the homes of his relatives in Chellur and Bengaluru.

During the operation, officials seized various items, including property documents for multiple housing sites, an apartment, and a four-story building. The ACB also reported finding 2kg of gold, 6.5kg of silver, Rs 12.5 lakh in cash, and several fixed deposits. The total value of identified assets is estimated at approximately Rs 5 crore.
