Corruption investigation into TTD official
Overview
The Andhra Pradesh Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) launched raids against Mendu Loganatham (also referred to as Loknatham), the Deputy Executive Officer of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), following allegations of accumulating assets disproportionate to his known income.
The investigation was initiated after the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) shared information following its probe into the Tirumala laddu ghee adulteration case. ACB teams conducted searches at Loganatham’s residence in Tirupati, his camp office in Tirumala, a guest house, and the homes of several relatives in Sellur/Chellur and Bengaluru.
During the operations, officials seized property documents for various housing sites, an apartment, and a four-story building. Additionally, authorities reported finding 2kg of gold, 6.5kg of silver, Rs 12.5 lakh in cash, and several fixed deposits. The total value of the identified assets is estimated at approximately Rs 5 crore.
