Andhra Pradesh CM Naidu defends DSC recruitment process
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has defended the Mega District Selection Committee (DSC) recruitment process against allegations of malpractice, labeling them as politically motivated. Speaking at a programme in Anakapalli district, Naidu stated that the recruitment followed Government of India guidelines and that approximately 350 writ petitions regarding the process had already been disposed of, with jobs provided to eligible candidates.
Naidu emphasized a commitment to transparency, noting that the government implemented a counselling-based transfer system to prevent political interference. He also mentioned that the sports quota for government jobs has been increased from 2% to 3%.
In contrast, Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) chief and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has alleged that irregularities in the DSC recruitment are evident. Jagan accused the current administration of avoiding a necessary discussion on the matter in the Legislative Council.
