Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Nara Lokesh Faces Calls for Resignation Over Mega DSC Recruitment Scandal
The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) organised statewide protests across Andhra Pradesh demanding a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into alleged irregularities in the Mega DSC teacher recruitment (DSC‑2025). Party leaders claim the top‑ranked candidate had prior access to the examination paper and that the process was marred by fraud, including violations of the sports quota. YSRCP has called for the resignation of state Education Minister Nara Lokesh, saying he must accept moral responsibility for the scandal. The protests also highlight broader grievances such as declining student enrollment, delayed textbook distribution, and unpaid benefits for school children. The state government and Minister Lokesh have not responded to the accusations at the time of reporting.
