Andhra Pradesh Mega Teacher Recruitment Defended by Officials Amid YSRCP Rumor Claims

TDP MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu defended the Andhra Pradesh government's District Selection Committee (DSC) teacher recruitment, noting that 16,347 candidates were selected and urging the Centre to amend the Public Examinations Bill to penalise those who deliberately spread misinformation about public exams. He cited past irregularities, including a 2018 DSC exam whose answer papers were only evaluated in 2022, and praised the current administration for conducting a transparent, large‑scale recruitment.

Andhra Pradesh MSME minister Kondapalli Srinivas also defended the "Mega DSC" drive, claiming the coalition government recruited about 16,000 teachers after filling over 1.8 million posts in previous DSC drives. He accused the YSR Congress Party of defaming the effort with false rumours, highlighted that answer keys and results were published online despite more than 230 court cases, and pointed to 583 candidates from Vizianagaram as evidence of fairness. Both officials urged the opposition to stop spreading misinformation and stressed the government's commitment to expanding the teaching workforce across the state.
