Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Nara Lokesh Faces Resignation Calls Over DSC Recruitment Scandal

The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) has intensified demands that Andhra Pradesh Education Minister Nara Lokesh resign following alleged irregularities in the District Selection Committee (DSC) teacher recruitment process. The party alleges that the examination, which involved around 350,000 aspirants, suffered from question‑paper leaks, violations of the mandatory Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) requirement, and misuse of sports‑quota provisions.

YSRCP spokesperson Konda Rajiv Gandhi cited the recent resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET paper‑leak controversy as a precedent for political accountability, urging a similar response in the state. The party is also urging a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe, with some leaders calling for court‑monitored investigation. YSRCP leaders claim Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is protecting his son, Lokesh, and have announced statewide protest rallies for July 28, warning of further agitation if the resignation and investigation are not forthcoming.
