Andorra household growth and Catalonia tourism shift in 2025

Andorra's statistics office reported that the number of households rose to 41,071 by 30 June 2026, a 0.3% increase from the previous quarter. One‑person households made up 37.4% of the total, while the average household size was 2.19 members. The parish of Sant Julià de Lòria had the largest average household size (2.49) and Canillo the smallest (1.78).

In Catalonia, foreign visitors reached a record of over 20 million in 2025, a 3.4% rise since 2019, while Catalan residents' domestic trips fell 9.3% over the same period. Overall tourist arrivals declined 1.5% compared with 2024, with the drop more pronounced in lower‑income municipalities. The influx of foreign tourists did not offset the reduction in Catalan domestic tourism.
