Andorran Financial Authority reports rise in customer complaints
The Andorran Financial Authority (AFA) reported a significant increase in customer complaints during 2025, receiving 31 claims compared to previous years. The most notable growth occurred in complaints regarding insurance policy coverage and management, which accounted for eight cases.
Other reported issues included five complaints related to the cancellation or refusal to open bank accounts, four regarding banking operations, two concerning testamentary matters, one regarding investment products, and one regarding commissions. Out of the 31 total claims, ten were deemed inadmissible due to failure to meet formal requirements or because the AFA lacked jurisdiction over the specific entities or matters involved.
Most complaints were submitted through digital channels. The AFA website remained the primary method with 14 submissions, while email saw a sharp increase from two cases in the previous year to twelve in 2025. Five complaints were received via postal mail or in person. The authority noted that its reports do not resolve contractual liabilities, as that responsibility rests with the courts.
