Following a thorough assessment, the Commission determined that the RSVP Trust, which Babiš established to hold his shares in the Agrofert holding, does not sufficiently resolve the issue regarding his management of cohesion and agricultural funds.

As a result, the Commission has suspended the reimbursement of certain EU funds for Agrofert companies. This measure specifically targets payments from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) and cohesion funds, affecting approximately 3.18 million EUR (roughly 76.9 million CZK). However, direct payments under the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) remain unaffected as they are considered to carry a lower risk of conflict of interest.

Prime Minister Babiš has denied any wrongdoing, stating that he no longer owns Agrofert and derives no benefit from the holding. He expressed that the Commission's stance does not interest him, maintaining that the trust fund was a sufficient measure. Meanwhile, political opposition in the Czech Republic has criticized the move, suggesting the Prime Minister misled the public and the President regarding his divestment from the company.
