Prime Minister Babiš has dismissed the Commission’s stance, maintaining that he no longer owns Agrofert and that placing assets in a trust was sufficient. He has stated that he is not interested in the matter and does not intend to resolve it. Meanwhile, political opposition in the Czech Republic has criticized the situation, arguing that the Prime Minister’s actions could jeopardize future EU funding for the country and suggesting he misled the public and the President regarding his divestment.
