Andrej Plenković visits Mostar to support Croat projects and reform

Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković conducted a working visit to Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, to oversee the distribution of financial support for projects benefiting Croats in the region. During the visit, contracts worth approximately 25.75 million euros were signed to support roughly 600 projects across various sectors, including education, health, culture, and infrastructure. Key sites visited included the University of Mostar, the University Clinical Hospital Mostar, and the construction site of the Croatian National Theatre (HNK) Mostar, a strategic project for the Croatian community.

In addition to infrastructure and institutional support, Plenković addressed political issues regarding the upcoming general elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina. He expressed concern over the current electoral practice where Croat members of the Presidency are often elected by voters outside the Croat corpus, calling for electoral reforms to ensure legitimate representation. He emphasized that Croatia's priority remains the protection of the constitutional rights and status of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
