Andrej Vizjak appointed CEO of Gen energija

Andrej Vizjak has been appointed as the new CEO of Gen energija, replacing Nada Drobne Popović. Vizjak, a former minister, has been given a four-year mandate by the supervisory board.

In his proposed work program, Vizjak emphasized the goal of ensuring stable and secure electricity production. Key priorities include managing the Krško Nuclear Power Plant, continuing activities regarding the construction of the Jek 2 nuclear unit, and advancing the Mokrice Hydroelectric Power Plant project. He also intends to address the relationship with the company Gen-I.

Bruno Glaser will remain in his position as Chief Operating Officer, and Vizjak indicated plans to further strengthen the management team.
