Andriana Pontiotis to compete in Patras Half Marathon

Athlete Andriana Pontiotis is set to compete in the 5,000m event at the 5th night Half Marathon ‘Fanis Tsimigatos’. The event, organized by Kouras of Patras in collaboration with the Municipality of Patras, is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026.

Pontiotis, a 22-year-old Panhellenic champion and Panathinaikos club member, views the race as a vital test of her preparation progress. She aims to achieve both a strong time and a gold medal. The competition will feature official results certified by World Athletics.

Originally a hurdles athlete, Pontiotis transitioned to endurance running following a bone edema injury in 2019. She currently trains under Anestis Papoulias and is a student at TEFAA in Athens.
