András Baka presidential candidacy poll results

A survey conducted by 21 Kutatóközpont on August 11 and 12 reveals public perception regarding presidential candidate András Baka. Approximately 84 percent of the Hungarian population is aware of his candidacy. Among those who expressed an opinion on his suitability for the office, 72 percent support his candidacy, while 28 percent oppose it.

Overall, 41 percent of all respondents consider him suitable for the position, compared to 16 percent who deem him unsuitable. Support is highly polarized by political affiliation: 69 percent of Tisza party voters view him as suitable, whereas only 8 percent of Fidesz voters hold the same view.

Regarding his political independence, 37 percent of respondents perceive him as independent, while 15 percent believe he is close to the Tisza party. The data suggests a correlation between perceived suitability and perceived independence, as 88 percent of those who find him suitable also consider him independent.
