András Borsány-Gyenes elected president of MSÚSZ

The Association of Hungarian Sports Journalists (MSÚSZ) has undergone a leadership transition following an extraordinary general assembly held at the Hungarian University of Physical Education. András Borsány-Gyenes, CEO of Network4 Media Group, has been elected as the new president of the association.

The resignation of the previous leadership, headed by György Szöllősi, followed a period of internal tension. Although a previous vote of no confidence in July had resulted in the presidency being upheld, the entire board resigned in September to allow for a new leadership capable of working effectively with the current sports governance and addressing professional challenges.

As part of the transition, Szöllősi and László Pajor-Gyulai were appointed as honorary presidents of the organization. The new leadership has pledged to continue important programs while implementing a membership revision to ensure the association primarily represents active professionals in the field of sports journalism.
