Andrés Mijes places antimonument on Nuevo León's Interserrana highway
Andrés Mijes, an aspirant for the Coordination of State Defense of Transformation and National Sovereignty in Nuevo León, installed an orange‑lion sculpture on the Interserrana highway in Montemorelos. The piece bears the legend “Monumento a la Corrupción e Ineficiencia” and is intended to highlight what he says is the project's corruption, inefficiency and the broader pattern of government announcements without technical basis.
Mijes warned that the halted highway project will burden citizens with higher debt, unfinished works and lost opportunities, accusing the state’s “modo party” and “modo amparo” of costly mismanagement.
