Andrzej Poczobut visits Toronto during North American tour

Andrzej Poczobut, a journalist and activist for the Association of Poles in Belarus, is currently touring North America following his release from Belarusian custody in April 2026. After a series of meetings in the United States, Poczobut has arrived in Toronto, Canada, to engage with the Polish diaspora.

Poczobut was previously sentenced to eight years in 2023 on charges widely regarded as political. His release was part of a prisoner exchange involving several countries. During his recent travels, he has met with figures such as John Coale and Polish diplomats to discuss the situation of the Polish minority and the political climate in Belarus.
