Andy Burnham proposes Northern-led economic growth mission

Andy Burnham has proposed a new economic strategy centered in Manchester, suggesting that the UK Treasury may not be the most effective department to lead a dedicated growth mission. Burnham intends to establish a “No. 10 in the North” to oversee prosperity and economic development.
