Andy Jassy highlights Amazon Now expansion to over 300 Indian cities
Amazon CEO Andy Jassy visited a micro‑fulfilment centre in Mumbai, describing the Amazon Now rapid‑delivery service as the company’s fastest‑growing e‑commerce unit in India. He said the service now delivers everyday essentials within minutes and that Prime members using it increase their purchase frequency three‑fold.
Jassy announced plans to roll out Amazon Now to more than 300 Indian cities, aiming to create the country’s largest “minutes‑to‑delivery” network. The rollout is part of an additional $35 billion investment pledged through 2030, on top of the $40 billion already committed, to boost operations, AI‑driven digitisation, exports and job creation. Experience gained in India will also help expand the model to the United States and other markets.
