Angel Reese launches signature Barbie doll and shares boyfriend's support after WNBA All-Star Game

Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese posted Instagram photos from the WNBA All-Star weekend, including a brief comment from her boyfriend, Orlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr., who wrote “Proud of you!!”. Reese played nine minutes in the All-Star Game, recorded five rebounds and left the exhibition without injury.

Reese also announced the release of her own Mattel Barbie Signature doll, the “Bayou Barbie”. The doll wears a pink version of her Dream uniform and includes a pair of her Reebok “Angel Reese 1” shoes. In a press release Reese said the doll is “a true dream come true” and hopes it inspires girls to be confident and ambitious. Mattel’s VP of Barbie highlighted Reese’s on‑court achievements and advocacy for girls as reasons for honoring her with the doll.
