Angelini Industries report highlights digital impact awareness among Italian youth
The third edition of the Youth & Sustainability Observatory by Angelini Industries, presented in Milan, reveals that 46% of Italians under 30 view the environmental impact of new technologies as comparable to fossil fuels or deforestation.
The report highlights an increasing awareness among younger generations regarding both the environmental and social impacts of corporate activities, particularly concerning artificial intelligence and the so-called ‘digital biome’. Isabella Falautano, Group Chief Sustainability & Communication Officer at Angelini Industries, noted that this awareness is leading to wiser use of new technologies and a greater focus on the social dimensions of sustainability.
To bridge the gap between academic training and professional needs, the Angelini Academy is expanding its programs to connect universities with businesses. This initiative aims to help young professionals, who possess high technical proficiency in emerging technologies, better understand the corporate and social contexts in which they operate.
