Angola Telecom expands fiber optic network in Benguela

Angola Telecom has launched the ‘Tudo Nosso’ fiber optic network in the Baía Farta Centralidade, located in Benguela province. This initiative aims to enhance the quality and coverage of telecommunications services, including voice, data, and television, for local residents.

In addition to the local network expansion, a section of the National Fiber Optic Network has been completed reaching the city of Lobito. This infrastructure provides a capacity of approximately 400 Gb, which is expected to allow operators to expand their networks throughout the province.

As part of the ‘Angola Online’ project, the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication also provided a free internet access point for a primary school in the Baía Farta area. Officials stated that these developments align with the goals of the 2023–2027 National Development Plan to foster economic and social growth through improved connectivity.
