Angola to auction 1.44% stake in Banco Comercial Angolano
The Angolan government, through the State Asset and Participation Management Institute (IGAPE), has announced the sale of a 1.44% stake in Banco Comercial Angolano (BCA). This stake, consisting of 900,420 shares, was recovered by the state as part of asset recovery processes involving former Minister of Transport, Augusto Tomás.
The sale is being conducted as part of the Privatization Program (PROPRIV), which aims to reduce direct state involvement in the business sector and encourage private investment in the national economy. The transaction will be held via an electronic auction open to both national and foreign investors.
Interested parties must submit their applications through the Electronic Auction Platform by October 26, 2026. The auction is scheduled for October 29, 2026, between 09:00 and 12:00. The adjudication criterion will be the highest bid, and no variant proposals will be accepted. The base value for the sale will be determined by a prior financial evaluation.
