Angola's sovereign wealth fund reports 200% profit growth

The Fundo Soberano de Angola (FSDEA) reported a net profit of approximately $527 million for 2025, marking a nearly 200% increase from the $176 million recorded in the previous year. The fund's total assets rose by 18% to $4.716 billion, with equity representing 95.7% of the total assets.

This growth was driven by strong performance in investment portfolios and the appreciation of financial and alternative assets. The liquid investment portfolio achieved a return of 14.65%, significantly exceeding the 5% annual average expected in the Asset Allocation Strategy. Alternative investments showed a return of 42%.

During the presentation of the 2025 Accounts Report in Luanda, State Secretary for Finance and Treasury Ottoniel dos Santos emphasized the need for a balanced project portfolio to support national economic transformation. He noted that diversifying the productive base and strengthening infrastructure requires long-term public policies and prepared financial institutions.
