Animal Rescue Donation Drives Scheduled in Peru and Ecuador

The HOPE Association will host the "Gran Huellatón" on 18 July in Arequipa, Peru, collecting food, medicine, bedding, toys and accessories for abandoned dogs and cats. Donation points are set at the Pampa de Camarones stadium, the International College park and Bolognesi Avenue near Melgar stadium. Organisers will also offer free parasite treatments, veterinary consultations and legal advice for animal‑abuse reports.

The Municipality of Quito, Ecuador, will hold a "Donatón 2026" on 1‑2 August at Bicentenario Park, featuring 30 tents with adoptable dogs and cats and free medical services for attendees. The event seeks donations of pet food, cleaning supplies, bedding, carriers, leashes, medications and other supplies to support local rescue foundations.

Both initiatives aim to boost resources for animal shelters, promote responsible adoption and raise public awareness of animal welfare in their respective cities.
