Animal Welfare Drives Rescue in Mexico and Free Vet Clinics in Venezuela

A severely ill dog abandoned in the Centro neighborhood of Querétaro was rescued by the municipal Animal Care Directorate after citizens reported suspected neglect. The animal was placed under protection, an administrative procedure was opened and the case will be forwarded to the Civil Court to determine any sanctions under the animal protection regulations. Officials highlighted the importance of community reports and responsible pet ownership.

In Valencia, Carabobo, the municipal government, in partnership with local social groups and the state governor, organized a free veterinary outreach at La Trigaleña. Approximately 100 pets received vaccinations, deworming, medical consultations, and basic grooming services. The initiative aims to promote public health, prevent disease outbreaks, and encourage responsible pet ownership while supporting municipal environmental and sanitation goals.
