Animal welfare events scheduled in Udine and Ballabio

Various animal-focused community events are scheduled across Italy. In Udine, the LE. I. D. A. A. (Lega Italiana Difesa Animali e Ambiente) will host ‘Amici di Zampa’ on October 11, 2026, at the Castello square and Casa della Contadinanza. The program includes a seminar on reporting animal mistreatment by A. I. S. A. Udine, urban walks with canine educators, and a first aid session led by veterinarian Dr. Adriano Monino. Participation requires a solidarity contribution to support animal assistance.

In Ballabio, the second edition of ‘Zampettiamo a Ballabio’ will take place on September 27 at the municipal villa park. This free event features canine consultancy from ATA ACI trainers, talks on grooming and domestic management, and an exhibition by Bonsai Lecco. The event also includes participation from associations dedicated to dog and cat adoption and the Segrino veterinary emergency service. Local officials noted that the municipality has also equipped the local police with microchip readers to assist in reuniting lost pets with their owners.
