Anime industry announces September and Autumn 2026 release schedule

The anime industry is preparing for a significant wave of releases spanning September and October 2026. On September 10, several new series are scheduled to debut, including ‘Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You’ by Asahi Production, ‘Chainsmoker Cat’ by Bibury Animation Studios, and ‘The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System’ by GoHands.

Looking toward the autumn season, major returns are expected in October. Most notably, ‘Black Clover’ is set to return after a hiatus lasting since March 2021, with the potential to adapt the manga through to its conclusion. Other returning titles include the second season of ‘Reincarnated as a Sword’, the second season of ‘The Ramparts of Ice’ on Netflix, and continuations for ‘Blue Box’ and ‘Ao Ashi’ starting October 4.
