Anime and streaming release schedules for Autumn 2026

Overview

The autumn 2026 anime season features a diverse lineup of returning series and highly anticipated new adaptations. Major returning titles include the third season of ‘The Apothecary Diaries’, the ‘Three Deities War Arc’ of ‘Tokyo Revengers’, and the return of ‘Black Clover’.

Following a five-year hiatus since its 2021 conclusion, the second season of ‘Black Clover’ premiered on October 3, 2026. Produced by Studio Pierrot and directed by Ayataka Tanemura, the season marks a shift toward a seasonal production format designed to provide “higher technical quality” and avoid the filler content characteristic of previous long-running series. The season is expected to adapt the remaining chapters of Yuki Tabata’s manga, including the Spade Kingdom Raid Arc and the final arc. Reports indicate the season may consist of approximately 26 episodes divided into two parts, with the second half potentially arriving in 2027. While the return is highly anticipated, some viewers have noted a fast-paced narrative, as early episodes appear to adapt several manga chapters per episode.

New releases and remakes remain prominent. ‘Dragon Ball Super: Beerus’ is set to debut as a remake of the original series' first part, while ‘Steel Ball Run’ continues the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure adaptations. ‘Made in Abyss: The Awakening of Mystery’ has also been identified as a notable upcoming title, marking the first part of a new theatrical series.

Other upcoming releases include the sci-fi survival series ‘Psyren’, set to premiere on Crunchyroll on October 5, and ‘Fool Night’, a collaboration between Sunrise and Shaft. Additional series scheduled for the season include ‘Sasaki and Peeps Season 2’, ‘Ranma 1/2’, ‘Magic Knight Rayearth’, ‘Suikodenche’, and ‘The Salty Koharu Has a Soft Spot for Me’, which premieres October 6.
