Mato Grosso Court suspends R$ 30.9 million IT tender

The Court of Accounts of Mato Grosso (TCE-MT) has ordered the immediate suspension of a R$ 30.9 million bidding process by the State Secretariat of Finance (Sefaz-MT). The tender aims to contract specialized information technology services for software development and maintenance for a period of two years, with the possibility of extensions up to ten years.

Counselor José Carlos Novelli granted the urgent injunction after identifying several irregularities. These include an insufficient timeframe for submitting proposals following rectifications—granting only five business days instead of the mandatory ten required by the New Bidding Law—as well as mathematical errors in productivity measurement formulas and excessive financial requirements.
