Turkey expands road construction and temporary traffic changes nationwide

A series of road construction and maintenance projects are underway across Turkey, prompting temporary traffic adjustments. In Ankara, Natoyolu Caddesi will be closed to vehicle traffic from 21:00 on 28 July 2026 for Metro line works, with multiple EGO bus routes rerouted to alternate streets. Regional projects include the 8‑km Karaköy‑Pazaryeri split‑road project in Bilecik, now entering the land‑acquisition phase, and the 11‑metre wide district road in Şırnak’s Beytüşşebap, with about 60 % of the 20‑km stretch completed. In Konya, night‑time closures affect Uluyayla Köprülü Kavşağı, İsmail Ketenci Caddesi, and Karaman Caddesi, while a lane‑narrowing is applied on the Adana Çevre Yolu. Similar temporary measures are announced for highways across the country, such as the O‑3 TEM Otoyolu Kınalı‑Silivri segment, Aydın‑Denizli Otoyolu, and the TAG Motorway, with controlled, bidirectional traffic on alternate platforms. Drivers are advised to follow signage and use alternate routes until the works are finished.
