Ankara and Kozaklı Expand Summer Pest Spraying Operations

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality has intensified its year‑round pesticide campaign, deploying BelPlas teams to 25 districts to treat parks, markets, hospital grounds and ponds for mosquitoes, blackflies, ticks and other pests. Residents can request treatment via the 153 call centre, prompting rapid response from the nearest BelPlas crew. The effort, led by ABB Health Services Director Mümtaz Yavuz, will continue throughout the summer months.

Similarly, Kozaklı Municipality is conducting continuous spraying across the district, targeting mosquitoes, blackflies, larvae, flies and ticks. Spraying has focused on parks, children’s playgrounds and other public spaces to safeguard public health during the hot season. Both municipalities stress that the measures aim to protect residents and provide a healthier, safer environment as summer progresses.
