Ankara Train Station massacre: 11th anniversary marked by calls for justice

On the 11th anniversary of the October 10, 2015, Ankara Train Station bombing, various labor unions, professional organizations, and families of victims held commemorative events across Turkey, including Ankara, Istanbul, Malatya, Van, and Edirne. The attack, carried out by ISIS/DAESH suicide bombers during a Labor, Peace, and Democracy Rally, resulted in the deaths of approximately 101 to 104 people and left over 500 injured.

Participants and organizers, including representatives from KESK, DİSK, TMMOB, and the Turkish Medical Association (TTB), issued calls for justice. They demanded a full investigation into the attack to uncover the entire chain of responsibility, specifically targeting potential negligence or intelligence failures by public officials. While some perpetrators have been prosecuted, activists argue that the true masterminds and those responsible for security lapses have not been held accountable.
