Ankara water supply disruptions amid low reservoir levels

Ankara's water and sewage authority (ASKİ) announced planned and unplanned water cutoffs for July 18 across several districts. In Etimesgut, service is expected to resume around 23:55; in Sincan around 20:00; and in Yenimahalle around 18:00, though repairs may finish earlier or be delayed depending on the fault.

Separately, ASKİ released reservoir data for July 17, showing the capital’s total storage at 45.93% and the actively usable water fraction at 39.64%, both below the 40% threshold. The Çamlıdere reservoir held 41.37% of its capacity, while other facilities such as Kurtboğazı (35.14%), Peçenek (30.41%) and Türkşerefli (10.14% usable) displayed markedly low levels, underscoring growing water‑supply strain in the city.
