Anker Soundcore 3 speaker linked to vehicle fire during recall

A fire incident has been reported involving the Anker Soundcore 3 (A3117) Bluetooth speaker, a product currently under recall. According to the Consumer Affairs Agency, a fire occurred in Okinawa Prefecture when the device was left inside a vehicle in a parking lot, causing damage to the product and its surroundings.

Anker Soundcore 3 models were sold in Japan between December 16, 2022, and October 21, 2025. Anker Japan has been conducting a recall since October 2025, covering approximately 91,933 units. As of August 13, 2026, the recall recovery rate stands at 43.7%.

Users are advised to check their serial numbers on the official Anker Japan website to determine if their device is subject to the recall. Additionally, Anker has issued warnings regarding the dangers of leaving battery-powered devices in high-temperature environments, such as vehicle dashboards or outdoors in direct sunlight.
