Anna Midera remains head of Association of Regional Airports after Łódź Airport dismissal

Anna Midera, who served as the president of Łódź Airport for over nine years, was removed from her position on August 19. Following her dismissal, Midera intended to resign from her role as president of the Association of Regional Airports (ZRPL), an organization representing twelve regional airports.

However, the presidents of the other regional airports requested that she withhold her resignation to ensure the continued stability and efficiency of the association. Tomasz Kloskowski, president of Gdańsk Airport, noted that the dismissal was unexpected and emphasized the importance of the association in reviewing legal acts and representing industry interests.

The association currently operates on a social basis, meaning the presidency is an unpaid position. Discussions are underway regarding the professionalization of the organization, with options including a professionalized presidency or the hiring of a dedicated director to manage daily operations.
