ANPACT seeks Mexican tax and customs reforms for heavy vehicles
The National Association of Bus, Truck, and Tractor Producers (ANPACT) has requested fiscal and customs adjustments in Mexico to protect the automotive industry's competitiveness. The association submitted a petition to the Chamber of Deputies' Finance Commission regarding proposed reforms to Article 78-E of the Income Tax Law (ISR) included in the 2027 Fiscal Package.
ANPACT is seeking exceptions for companies operating under the Automotive Fiscal Deposit regime. The association warns that proposed limitations on tax deductions could negatively impact cash flow and investment decisions. Additionally, ANPACT has called on the Ministry of Finance to promptly publish reference prices for determining the customs value of used heavy vehicles, noting that current market conditions are affecting small and medium-sized transport enterprises.
