Ansar Allah forces seize Al Mukha, increasing control over Bab al-Mandab

Thousands of people gathered in Sana'a and Marib to celebrate military gains by Ansar Allah forces on Yemen's western coast. Reports indicate that Ansar Allah has seized control of the historic port city of Al Mukha, a move that significantly increases their influence over the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait, one of the world's most vital shipping lanes.

In addition to the capture of Al Mukha, Ansar Allah has reportedly launched attacks against the Hanish Islands in the Red Sea. These developments have prompted a retreat by Saudi-aligned forces toward the south, specifically near the city of Dhubab and the island of Mayun. Military commanders associated with the Saudi-backed coalition have reportedly ordered the establishment of alternative command centers in secure locations due to the loss of territory.

Protesters in Marib praised the military operations against Saudi-linked facilities, framing the actions as a response to human rights violations in Yemen. Participants also expressed continued solidarity with Palestine and stated their readiness to face future developments in the region.
