Ansar Allah targets Saudi military infrastructure in missile strikes
Ansar Allah and the Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs have issued statements responding to recent escalations in the conflict with Saudi Arabia. Ansar Allah dismissed reports of a drone attack on Mecca as a fabrication intended to distract from the ongoing blockade and military actions in Yemen.
In a separate military update, spokesperson Yahya Saree announced that Yemeni armed forces conducted a large-scale operation targeting Saudi military infrastructure. The attack reportedly utilized dozens of ballistic missiles and drones to strike the King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait, hitting fighter jet hangars, radars, and storage depots. This follows a series of over 300 Saudi airstrikes using F-15 and Typhoon jets over a five-day period.
Yemeni officials stated that military operations within Saudi territory will continue until the blockade and hostilities against Yemen cease, maintaining a policy of “blockade against blockade.” The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also asserted that maritime traffic in the Bab al-Mandab strait remains normal, contradicting claims of increased insecurity.
